Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to get to Dunsborough Ridge Retreat?
If you’re travelling from Perth, Dunsborough Ridge Retreat and the beautiful surrounds of the Dunsborough region are less than 3 hours away. You’ll enjoy an easy drive down south via the Forest Highway to Bunbury and Bussell Highway via Busselton to Dunsborough.
Travelling along Caves Rd via Busselton and just before the Dunsborough township at the Commonage Road roundabout – take the first exit left (you’ll need to travel past Simmo’s Ice Creamery… if you can…) and enjoy the short but scenic drive up the ridge. You’ll find Ocean View Dve on the right just after Tranquil Dve … and just after the sign you’ll see on your left that indicates you’re about 50m from the wonderful Happs Winery. How’s that for a great location!
What should I bring?
Let us look after the ‘stuff’ like bed linen, towels (even pool towels for use in our Infinity Pool), crockery, cookware and utensils – you’re here to have a relaxing time… so just pack for doing as much or as little as your body and mind desires!
What if we are arriving later in the day?
Check-in time is after 2pm and check-out is by 10am. Our office reception is open from 8am – 8pm. If you’re able to let us know by email or phone of your approximate time of arrival – that would be appreciated. Coming in late? Please let us know and we’ll arrange a welcoming light/heat on, as needed, in your Villa.
Are you far from the wineries?
Dunsborough Ridge Retreat is located a short walk to Happs Wines and a short drive to Wildwood Road and the many wineries of the Dunsborough, Yallingup and Margaret River regions. You’ll be spoilt for choice!
Are there good places to eat?
There sure are! From wonderful breakfasts at Goanna Gallery (only 5 mins drive away or a leisurely 20 min walk to get the appetite primed) to the many fabulous cafes in Dunsborough and Yallingup, long lunches or tasting plates at the nearby wineries in Wilyabrup/Margaret River region. Dinner? More choices in Dunsborough, Busselton, Margaret River and some wineries close by too.
